However, the Rottweiler may soon become a vulnerable breed!

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

The Aims and Objectives of the Rottweiler Owners’ Trust (ROT) are purely to promote the good name of the Rottweiler and to defend it against unfair or unjust comments or actions from any quarter.

Our breed has been mercilessly persecuted by the media for over 20 years and we think it is time we are given a fair deal.  The Rottweiler community is frustrated with the way our breed is continuously presented by the media thus perpetuating the myth that the Rottweiler is a rogue.  This fuels the desire for unscrupulous members of the public to own one.  Please help us to break this cycle by joining our Trust to protest whenever the breed is unjustly portrayed.

How are we going to achieve this?

We have established a nation-wide database of email and phone links  for ALL owners and supporters of the Rottweiler – both registered and unregistered.  This provides fast and efficient lines of communication so that everyone  can be quickly made aware of any unfair detrimental programme, newspaper article or anything which reflects the Rottweiler in an unjust negative way.  The ROT can then take APPROPRIATE LAWFUL ACTION using the "Complaints" system of the media concerned.

This action will vary depending on the nature of the issue.  It may take the form of mass or individual complaint by way of email, letter writing or phone call.

Why is this necessary?

Each time there is media sensation regarding our breed, Rottweiler rescue organisations are swamped with calls from members of the public wanting to rehome their once-loved animals, who have committed no crime.

We are a non-profit organisaton and all money collected goes to Rottweiler rehoming charities.

The one-off Membership is ONE POUND per person.

If one Rottweiler suffers unjustly – we all suffer
